Open Water Collective

November 29, 2013 in Open Water Collective, Releases by dbrueck

The Art Pop-Band “Open Water Collective” was founded in 2013. With its rich instrumentation consisting of energetic surf guitars, warm Hammond Organ and a highly dynamic rhythm section, the band manages to produce very unique soundscapes. Just like the sea, the collective’s music can be calm and still at one moment, only to become wild and roaring right after. The atmospheres and vibes the band produces thus show as many facettes as the sun’s reflections on the surface of the water.

Blomqist

April 2, 2013 in Blomqist, Releases by dbrueck

Dubai Dub Xpress

February 17, 2013 in Releases by dbrueck

Dubai Dub Xpress was established in 2005 as an instrumental project of the music producer Christoph Fleischmann. Programmed drumgrooves from reggae, ragga and hip hop up to polyrhythmic percussion elements encounter bassriddims and various melodic instruments.

In 2012 Christoph Fleischmann won the 1st prize of the Berlinale Talent Campus with his composition “Luminaris”, which was produced in the studios of the HFF Potsdam and performed by the Babelsberg Film Orchestra. Dub Dubai Xpress debut album “Auf nach Mocca” was released in 2010.

With the new album “Karamel”, Dubai Dub Xpress sets new standards on world fusion meets electronic beats. In each track lies passion and attention to detail. Precise and yet playful, improvised and yet complex arranged he guides through the musical styles. Variation on the known instruments guitar and accordion, with new ideas on the piano, Dub Dubai Xpress presents another album that will attract the listener.

The Fadeouts

November 17, 2012 in Releases, The Fadeouts by dbrueck

We can’t tell you much about The Fadeouts but obviously these four guys listen to a lot of Black Sabbath & The Stooges. Their debut 7″ surely is a fine start and another proof that punkrock can be groovy.
