Dubai Dub Xpress was established in 2005 as an instrumental project of the music producer Christoph Fleischmann. Programmed drumgrooves from reggae, ragga and hip hop up to polyrhythmic percussion elements encounter bassriddims and various melodic instruments.
In 2012 Christoph Fleischmann won the 1st prize of the Berlinale Talent Campus with his composition “Luminaris”, which was produced in the studios of the HFF Potsdam and performed by the Babelsberg Film Orchestra. Dub Dubai Xpress debut album “Auf nach Mocca” was released in 2010.
With the new album “Karamel”, Dubai Dub Xpress sets new standards on world fusion meets electronic beats. In each track lies passion and attention to detail. Precise and yet playful, improvised and yet complex arranged he guides through the musical styles. Variation on the known instruments guitar and accordion, with new ideas on the piano, Dub Dubai Xpress presents another album that will attract the listener.
The Improvisation – Trio ZHREEE creates off the wall live instrumentals which arise only in the moment of their performance. The ensemble of Constantin Braun (piano / keys), Michael Wagener (drums / percussion) and Daniel Sauk (Guitar) is highly skilled and neither bound to content nor style.
Their “surprise concerts” can easily develop from a first classical motif to a rhythmically infectious pop song, concluding in jazzy sounds and themes. The music becomes a free and fully improvised stylistic and emotional journey – for both, the audience and the artists themselves. This journey always remains uncertain and is fully determined by the moment – the place, the audience and the atmosphere. These concerts are unique, each and every time, as they encounter the here and now ….!
